Plexflow and multifactor authentication

What is Multi-Factor Authentication ?

Plexflow users have access to multifactor authentication to log into their account. Multifactor authentication (also known as "two-factor authentication" or "2FA") is a process of identity verification that requires more than one method of identification to access an account or application. It complements the traditional username and password by requiring a second verification factor, such as a code sent via SMS, a notification sent to a mobile security app, or a confirmation from a physical security device, like a smart card reader.

Multifactor authentication increases security by providing an additional layer of protection for sensitive information and online accounts. Even if a hacker is able to discover a username and password, they will not be able to access the account without the second verification factor.

Why implement an MFA solution ?

There are several reasons why it is important to implement a multifactor authentication (MFA) solution. Here are some of the most significant benefits:

  1. Increased security: Adding a second verification factor significantly increases security by making it more difficult for hackers to access your sensitive information.

  1. Prevention of data breaches: MFA solutions help prevent data breaches by thwarting online identity attacks.

  1. Protection of accounts: MFA protects your online accounts by preventing unauthorized access.

  1. Regulatory compliance: Certain industries are subject to regulations that require the use of MFA for sensitive transactions.

  1. User-friendliness: Modern MFA solutions are often very simple to use and can be activated in just a few minutes.

In conclusion, implementing a multifactor authentication solution is an important step in strengthening the security of your sensitive information and online accounts.
